Understanding Your Hair Type

Choose products for your hair type.

Straight, wavy, or curly?

Each type needs special care.

Basic Hair Care Routine.

  1. Wake up and brush your hair
After waking up, you must brush your hair. As a result of combing the hair, the oil that accumulates at the root of the hair overnight, spreads through the hair. Regular hair brushing increases blood circulation to the hair follicles and results in faster hair growth. So comb your hair regularly from top to bottom for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Wash your hair
Due to external dust and pollution, many people shampoo their hair every day. Daily shampooing also washes away the scalp’s natural oils. As a result, the hair becomes rough and dry. Again, if you do not wash your hair regularly, it is very dangerous. Accumulation of dirt at the hair roots can cause various problems including dandruff. In that case, wash your hair with shampoo according to your hair type.
Those with normal hair can wash their hair 3 times a week. Tough hair should be shampooed once per two days. Those who have oily hair can wash their hair after 2 days or 1 day after understanding the condition.
Even if the hair is not shampooed, the scalp should be cleaned well with water and no hot water should be used on the hair.
  3. Wet hair care
Another mistake we make in hair care is combing hair right after a shower. After bathing, dry your hair with a soft towel. Do not massage your hair roughly. Vigorous rubbing causes the hair follicles to split, and the hair follicles to become soft, which increases the amount of hair fall. Dry the hair by squeezing the wet hair with a towel, or you can twist the hair for a while. When slightly dry, then comb the hair.
  4. Choosing hair products
Hair products should be used according to the type of hair. If you have normal hair, you can use any type of shampoo. Massage the shampoo well on your head in a circular motion. Those with coarse hair should use a shampoo that softens their hair. And oil clear shampoo should be used for oily hair. Conditioners should also be used. But be careful not to apply conditioner on the scalp, it softens the hair roots and may lead to hair loss. Apart from this, care should also be taken to ensure that the shampoo and conditioner are properly cleansed. Those who have their hair colored or have any other hair treatment should select the shampoo or conditioner for their hair accordingly.
  5. Hair care comb
Combing also plays a big role in hair care. Wooden combs were most commonly used in the time of grandparents. It was seen that their hair was thick and black and their hair fell less. Because blood circulation is normal when using a wooden comb, the oil produced on the scalp spreads throughout the hair and remains moisturized. Currently, plastic combs are more commonly used. While combing with a plastic comb, heat is generated on the head. Which is harmful to hair. The scalp cannot tolerate excess heat and hair falls. So, you have to pay attention to what type of comb you are using on a daily basis.
  6. Night hair care
Hair care is necessary even before sleeping at night. If you want, you can make a nice ponytail or braid. It is not good to go to bed with open hair. It can cause hair to rub against the pillow. Silk pillowcases are best. To maintain your hair healthy, add oil to your hair two times each week before going to bed. After massaging with oil, comb the hair well again from top to bottom.
    Egg mask
An egg mask is a great solution when the scalp becomes oily. Egg white reduces the oiliness of the scalp. Mix the egg whites well and apply on the scalp. On the other hand, egg yolk can be used for healthy hair growth.
No hot water in the shampoo
Many people use hot water while shampooing. Hot water dehydrates the hair. Dehydration is still possible in hot water, even with the use of a conditioner. It is best if lukewarm water is used while shampooing. After that wash your hair with cold (not too cold) water.

Forget the hair dryer

Like hot water, hot air is harmful to hair. Regular use of a hair dryer to dry the hair can cause the hair to become pale. Cool air is best for drying hair even if it takes longer.

Use heat-protecting spray

Curling irons and hair straighteners damage hair. Hair becomes dry and lifeless with daily use. Use a good quality heat-protecting spray before styling to keep hair in place.

A day off

Apply oil to your hair before bed. (twice/week) to keep it looking healthy. This means drying the hair in the open air that day. Keep hair free from heat, products, and styling tools on this day.

Color hazard

Do you dye your hair at home? It can also contribute to your hair loss. If any problem occurs after coloring your hair at home, go to the parlor quickly. The color is mixed and applied according to the hair type in the parlor.

Heat freestyling

Wet your hair slightly to create a wavy look. Interestingly, socks can be used as rollers to curl hair. Go all out by tying a colorful scarf in your ponytail for a slightly different look.
